Unprecedented Mass Storming Of The Aqsa Mosque: Hamas Warns Israel Blowing Up The Region
1 August 2009
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- More than 200 Jewish fanatics on Wednesday morning stormed the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and offered Talmudic rituals on the anniversary of the so-called destruction of the temple. The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said in a statement that the Jews spread in various areas of the holy compound and roamed its plazas while performing those rituals under the full protection of Israeli occupation police. The foundation addressed an urgent appeal to the Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims to immediately act to save the Aqsa Mosque from the judaization schemes. Israeli settlers on Tuesday tried to usurp the house of a Jerusalemite in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, local sources said, adding that the settlers told the Hanun family, the owners of the house, that the house was the property of those settlers. Tens of citizens rushed to aid the family compelling those settlers to flee the scene and assaulted on their way Sammar Al-Sabagh, 44, causing her medium injuries. The Israeli occupation police in Afula, north of 1948 occupied Palestine, arrested a Jerusalemite driver for trying to transport 26 Palestinian West Bankers to work in 1948 land. In the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up five Palestinians in various areas on Tuesday night including a student in Bir Zeit University only days after the failure of PA security loyal to ex-PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in capturing him. In the Gaza Strip, IOF troops advanced east of Qarara town north of Khan Younis city to the south of the Gaza Strip and bulldozed cultivated lands amidst random firing. Local sources told PIC reporter that the troops backed by tanks escorted bulldozers 200 meters deep into the area and bulldozed Palestinian fields. Hamas Warns Israeli violations in Jerusalem will blow up the whole region The Palestinian government headed by premier Ismail Haneyya on Tuesday warned that the latest Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem and settlers’ repeated assaults on the Aqsa Mosque would be the main factor that would dynamite the whole region, calling on the Arab and Islamic countries to stand firmly against these violations. In a press statement issued following the weekly cabinet meeting, spokesman for the government Taher Al-Nunu said that the persistent Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the desecration of the Aqsa Mosque would provoke Muslims’ feelings all over the world. The government also strongly denounced in its statement the violations committed by Fatah militias in the West Bank, stressing that the arrest and torture of Palestinian citizens reflect the level of moral degradation reached by these militias. The statement hailed some British lawmakers for calling on their government and the European Union to open dialog with Hamas, saying that such a step, albeit belated, is in the right direction.
