Sheikh Salah Warns Of Israeli Hysterical Steps To Demolish Holy Mosque
22 June 2009
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has warned that the Israeli government might take hysterical steps to demolish the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and build the alleged temple. During his Friday Khutba (sermon) in Jerusalem, Sheikh Salah stressed that the holy city is passing through the most critical stage nowadays which entails taking firm positions to save it. He noted that the Israeli government plans to demolish 75 percent of Palestinian homes in Jerusalem at the pretext of unlicensed construction. The Palestinian leader revealed that the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem conducted a survey of all homes in Jerusalem with the aim of demolishing them in case there were any adjustments made to these homes or they were built without license. He denied that the Jews have a historical or religious right to Jerusalem, highlighting that the people who allow themselves to spread injustice, murder and destruction in Jerusalem are the greatest enemy of prophet Moses and his message. Resistance will persist until Palestinian rights are realized Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the acting speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, has asserted that Palestinians would continue to trek the resistance path until all the Palestinian people's demands in restoring usurped rights are realized. Bahar, during a visit on Friday to family of Mohammed Al-Dhaif the general commander of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas, said that Palestinian resistance would not give up its demands in return for the release of captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. "Despite three years of political and economic siege, assassinations and demolition of homes our people are still insisting on their constants and will never shun resistance," Bahar underlined. He charged Fatah faction with lacking the real desire to end the inter-Palestinian rift, citing as proof its refusal to release the political detainees in the West Bank jails controlled by the Fatah-dominated Ramallah authority. The acting speaker delivered the Friday Khutab (sermon) in Khan Younis and visited a number of homes of martyrs, notables and detainees.
